各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

復課已經進入第二個月了，老師們花盡心思，安排不同的學習機會給予學生。在此，衷心多謝每一位老師的努力。他們的努力，只希望同學們盡快適應校園生活及在學習上回復應有的水平。由今個月開始，逢星期一、三、五，我們安排全校師生在操場上集會，進行升旗禮、頒獎禮及集體操，特別希望低年級適應群體生活；至於星期二及星期四，就會進行中、英文早讀課。我們利用下午時間，以網課形式，進行各科的增潤課程及奮進功課班。「增潤課程」是為同學重溫一些基礎知識或課堂上的學習難點。而「奮進功課班」是協助同學解決功課上的難題。除此之外，我們於星期六舉行各科的「趣味學習小組」，老師設計一些有趣的活動，好讓學生在活動中學習，為知識的基礎打好根基。雖然活動只進行了一個月，但老師們已看到同學有明顯的進步。

The school has been resumed for the second month. All the teachers tried their best to arrange different kinds of learning for our students. I want to take this opportunity to show my gratitude to every single teacher for the endeavor. It is hoped that our students get engaged into the school life again and go back to their levels. From this month, all the students and teachers are on the playground for the assembly in the morning of Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays when they come back to school. Flag raising, prize presentation and mass exercise are scheduled. Morning read for Chinese and English are on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively. In the afternoon, we have ‘Enhancement Class’ and ‘Homework Class’ which are online mode. ‘Enhancement Class’ aims to revise the foundation of the knowledge or the difficult learning focus in the lesson. The ‘Homework Class’ is to help students solve the problems on their assignments. Besides, ‘Fun Learning Group’ is on Saturdays that funny learning activities are designed by teachers and let students learning through playing the activities for building up a solid foundation. Although all these activities has lasted for a month, students’ improvement and their serious attitudes are found.

相信六月份令全校最興奮的事情一定是校本輔導活動：「疫」「劉」而上。每位同學為了爭取獎賞卡，他們在不同範疇都出盡全力爭取好表現，讓老師為自己蓋上印章，儲齊一定數量蓋印，就可換取獎賞卡，獎賞卡可以兌換不同的「禮物」。大部份的同學也不捨得隨便兌換「禮物」，因為大家也希望得到終極大獎—「校長帶你去睇戲」。同學們只需集齊10張獎賞卡就可以得到這份終極大獎；有些同學喜歡換領活動，例如：玩足球機、康樂棋、小型籃球等；有些同學則愛參加皮革班及彩繪班。最受歡迎的「禮物」竟然是「和朋友一起乘升降機」！某天早上，有位同學完成體育堂後，手持及揮動著獎賞卡向我說：「校長，我覺得好攰！可以搭升降機嗎？」我只好嚴肅地回應：「多做運動身體好！這張獎賞卡只可以星期二及星期四上午上課回校使用，現在就不可以。」看到有些同學就相約一起乘搭升降機回課室，你一次，我一次，十分有趣。這個計劃真的令大家也投入起來，增強大家對學校的歸屬感。

There is one thing which makes everyone excited in June – ‘To Swim Upstream’ Scheme which is the School-based Student Guidance Scheme. Everyone student wants to get the ‘rewarding card’ by performing well in different aspects. Teachers will give a chop on the anecdotal record sheet in each class. A student can get certain amount of chops who will gain a ‘rewarding card’. Using the rewarding card can exchange ‘gift’. Most of students are not willing to exchange the ‘gift’ easily. It is because they all want to get the ‘Ultimate Gift’ which needs to collect 10 rewarding cards. This ‘Ultimate Gift’ is going to watch a movie with the Principal. However, some students cannot wait for so long, so they exchange the ‘gift’ such as playing foosball, Chinese billiard, mini-basketball hoop, …… Some students love joining the ‘Leather Crafting Workshop’ or ‘Bodypainting Experience Course’ in the afternoon. Unpredictably, the most popular ‘Gift’ is to take the lift in the morning to go back to the classroom with their friends. One day, some students waved their ‘rewarding cards’ and asked after the PE lesson: ‘We are exhausted, Principal Chan. We want to take the lift.’ I replied sternly, ‘Doing more exercises is good for your health. Actually, this reward for taking lift is used on Tuesdays and Thursdays morning only.’ Also, some students are buddy up with their best friend to take the lift together by taking turn to use their rewarding card. It is warm but sweet. All the students and teachers plunge into this scheme which enhances their sense of belonging toward the school.

自復課後，我與老師們都有同一様的想法，希望安排不同的課外活動給同學，好讓他們能夠放鬆一下。謝謝視藝科的科主任及老師，他們參加了「全港學界校際萬人彩底迷牆設計大賽2022」。巧合地，我們屬校—世界龍岡學校朱瑞蘭中英文幼稚園也有參加。另外視藝科科主任帶同5位同學參觀了學生視覺藝術作品展 2021-2022，好讓同學多觀摩別人的作品，開闊眼界。

After the resumption of the school, teachers and I have the same idea: providing more extra-curricular activities to students for their relaxation. Thank you so much the panel head of VA and the teachers. We participated the Hong Kong Grand Gala 2022 Inter-school competition Thousands Colourful Egg Wall Design Competition and our school got the outstanding award. What a coincidence! Our affiliated school – LKWFS Chu Sui Lan Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten also joined this competition. We took pictures together to celebrate our happiness as we both used ‘Dragon’ as the theme of our artifact. Also, our VA panel head accompanied with 5 students to visit the ‘Exhibition of Students Visual Arts Work 2021/2022. It gave our students precious chances to appreciate others’ pieces to broaden their horizon.

為配合小一跨科閱讀的主題，我們安排了一個「愛護及認識兔子工作坊」，是次活動邀請家長一起參與。當天工作人員更帶了數隻兔子到校，好讓家長與學生一起接觸及認識。

A workshop called ‘Getting to know and protect Rabbits’ was held which is to link up with the theme of P.1 Reading across the Curriculum. Parents were also invited. Several rabbits were bought to let parents and students to know more about rabbits by touching and observing.

今年，我們第二年成功申請「賽馬會中國詩人別傳教育劇場計劃」，高小的學生十分喜歡這個活動。原因是大會將學校禮堂轉變為一個互動劇場的場景，加上表演人員穿上古代的服飾，令同學十分投入當中學習中國語文的知識。說到戲劇教學，近年我們大力推行，我們亦安排了中英劇團到校舉行工作坊，每位老師也參與其中，學習一些教學方法。老師們十分投入，而且樂於在課堂實踐。

It is the second time we successfully applied ‘Jockey Club theatre-in-Education Project on Legendary Stories of Chinese Poets’. Senior students enjoy this activity so much because the school was completely ‘renovated’ to interactive scenes. All the performers wore ancient and modern costumes to make students get involved easily. They were eager to learn the Chinese poems and history. Drama education has been highly promoted at our school recently. Drama workshops were held by Chung Ying Theatre Company at our school for our teachers. Teachers participated into it and learned some pedagogical approaches. They were engaged and they could implement in their classrooms cheerfully.

為了提升學校的教學質素，在六月期間，校長、主任及科主任都會以電子教學、戲劇教育及德育公民教育為主題進行觀課，希望提升老師在課堂上的教學質素。

For enhancing the quality of teaching, senior teachers, panel heads and I go into the classrooms to observe lesson which mainly focuses on e-Learning teaching, drama education, Moral and Civic education. It is hoped to boost the teachers’ teaching skills in the classroom.

在28/6(二)中午，家教會分成員到校為第二十七屆表揚教師計劃點票。 大家花了一小時去完成點票。 結果分別由吳美華副校長及鄧鎧敏老師獲最多票數。 她們將於2022年9月15日（星期四）出席敬師日慶典暨表揚狀頒發典禮。

28/6 (Tue) at noon, Parent-Teacher Association members arrived at school for vote counting for the 27th Teacher Commendation Scheme. We spent an hour to finish counting votes. Miss NG Mei Wah and Miss Tang Hoi Man received the most votes. They will attend the Teachers’ Day and Commendation Certificate Presentation Ceremony on 15th September 2021 (Thursday).

考試將至，我明白同學們在這段期間都感受到一些壓力，同學們要加油，努力學習。考試完畢後，學校會為大家安排一連串不同類型的活動，好讓學生有一個愉快的學習經歷，迎接明年的新開始。校長永遠支持你們！

The last examination is coming. I totally understand that all the students are stressful. No worries, I believe in all of you. After the examination, we are going to arrange various kinds of activities to you and give all of you some enjoyable learning experiences to welcome the next academic year coming. I support all of you forever and ever after!
